COTTONWOOD LODGE AND LAKE CREEK LODGE IN ALASKA
SOCKEYE, PINK, CHUM, SILVER AND KING SALMON FISHING
Cottonwood and Lake Creek Lodge are situated 1000ft apart, about 55 miles northwest of Anchorage at the delta of the Lake Creek flowing into the Yentna River. They are only attainable by a 40 minute flight from anchorage aboard a seaplane. Mount McKinley the highest mountain in North America, is often seen during one of our beautiful days here at our Lodges.

ALASKA: Alaska reveals the world to us like it must have appeared on the first day after creation. Everything in Alaska is oversized and nothing in relation to human measurement. The state stretches 2300 miles from south to north and 3800 miles from east to west over 21 degrees of latitude and 43 degrees of longitude. If one would like to survey this land at a rate of one square mile per day, you would require nearly 4200 years to complete this task
Life north of the polar circle is a study of contrasts. While the temperature in the winter can drop to minus 60 degrees Celsius, in the summer it can climb to plus 35 degrees. At the polar sea coast between middle of May until August the sun will never set, however, between November to January the sun will not rise.

Fishing vacations just don’t get any better than this. Everybody else says it but our photos prove it. Jeff Woodward Sportfishing specializes in good times, great lodging and BIG fish!
No experience is necessary. We welcome men, women, and children of all ages. Handicapped persons can often be accommodated.
The biggest salmon of Alaska is the King salmon (Chinook) that can reach a weight of nearly 100Ibs. The King Salmon range in color from bright silver like the one in the photo above to very dark red. During its migration back to the river, between May and July, the “King” discolors gradually from a bright silver-green to copper-red.
